How Blodwen uses cookies

Blodwen's site uses cookies.  A cookie is a piece of text which asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive.  If your browser is set to accept cookies, it adds that text in a small file.  A cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets us know when you visit our site.  Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual.  The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.  For example, when you visit this site, a cookie makes it easier to shop by remembering your details and telling them to the website so that you do not have to enter them each time.

Blodwen uses cookies to simplify the shopping processes and we also use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used.  This helps us analyse data about web page traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs.  Refusal of a cookie will reduce the features and functionality of the Blodwen site available to you.  You can change your Internet Setting to "enable cookies".

Overall, cookies help us provide you with a better website, by enabling us to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not.  Blodwen knows that some people have concerns about cookies, but Blodwen believes that the benefit we both gain from their proper use is worthwhile.  You may set your web browser (for example, Microsoft internet explorer or Netscape navigator) to notify you of cookie placement requests or decline cookies completely.  You can also delete the files that contain cookies - those files are stored as part of your internet browser.
